Hi, I’m Shabnam;
call me Shabi
Shabi is a Puerto Rican-Persian, multi-disciplinary UX designer with a love for art, music, and fashion.
As a SCAD UXD student, Shabi designed solutions for Google, Microsoft, BMW, and 3M. Upon graduation, Shabi accepted a UX design position at Google.
As a Googler, Shabi led the accessibility UX strategy for Google’s Design Systems for over 2 years. Shabi’s initiatives standardized and integrated inclusive design into Google’s components, frameworks, and tools.
Previously, Shabi designed multi-modal experiences for Google Assistant’s Driving Mode on Google Maps. Additionally, Shabi led the end-to-end design and research for Android’s Accessibility Scanner app.
Shabi continues to empower her community through outreach programs that build a pipeline of success for marginalized youth and advance equity for underrepresented communities.
